About this experience

Shaoxing is a water town, famous for its traditional Chinese bridges, boats, architectures, yellow wine and a huge number of textile and cloth factories and production. This one day tour will take you to appreciate the greatly attractive ancient towns of Shaoxing. Take a boat cruise along the towns, then enjoy the superb local lunch. After that, the tour will proceed to Shen Garden and Lan Pavilion, both places are well known cultural relics in Chinese history.

The tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby in central Hangzhou, then transfer you to appreciate the greatly attractive ancient towns of Shaoxing.

Lan Pavilion, also known as Lanting or Orchid Pavilion, is the former residence of famous calligrapher Wangxizhi of Eastern Jin Dynasty. Visitors can enjoy the natural landscapes including lofty hills, tall bamboo bushes, clear streams and flourishing woods. It is also a great place for visitors to enjoy different types of the Chinese characters. Additionally, visitors can buy some paintings and calligraphies in a shop there at a reasonable price as gifts for families or friends.
