Stop 1

Lingyin Temple is translates as the 'Temple of Soul’s Retreat'. It is one of the largest and wealthiest Buddhist temples in China, and contains numerous pagodas and Buddhist grottoes.

Meijiawu Tea is a type of Dagon Well Green Tea from the area around Mejiawu village. This tea is renowned for its jade green color. You will visit a tea plantation at Meijiawu Village in the West Lake District. Learn about local tea culture and the production of Dragon Well tea at this scenic tea plantation.

Stop 3

In the afternoon, take a 1-hour boat cruise on West Lake, a place that has influenced poets and painters throughout Chinese history for its natural beauty and historic relics, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011, described as having "influenced garden design in the rest of China as well as Japan and Korea over the centuries" and reflecting "an idealized fusion between humans and nature".

Stop 4

It is located at the foot of Yuelun Hill, facing the Qiantang River. It was originally constructed in 970 by the Wuyue Kingdom, destroyed in 1121, and reconstructed fully by 1165. This masterpiece of ancient Chinese architecture is one of the best places to appreciate the Qiangtang River's impressive tidal bores.

Pickup service is for hotels in downtown area of Hangzhou only. Downtown Hangzhou includes 5 districts of Shangcheng, Xiacheng, Xihu, Gongshu, Jianggan. Other districts are named as Outskirts Hangzhou. Hotels in Outskirts Hangzhou will cost additional charge. Please check if your hotel is located in downtown Hangzhou before you make a booking.

If you live in the outskirt of Hangzhou please go to Sofitel West Lake Hangzhou to join in this tour. The hotel pickup time is 8:30am.

If you take bullet train from Shanghai to Hangzhou, you will be picked up from Hangzhou East Railway Station. Your tour guide will hold a sign with your name waiting at the exit of the station. Please save the cell phone number of your guide which can be found on your confirmation voucher.

There are 9 trains running in between Shanghai Hongqiao Station and Hangzhou East Station every morning. In China, train tickets can be purchased 30 days prior. Please buy your train ticket and inform the local tour supplier the train information at least one day prior. Your booking will be automatically cancelled if the train information is not received 24 hours to the tour starting time.

If you miss the original train, please change to another train at the ticketing office. Then telephone the local tour operator for a revised arrival time for pickup arrangement immediately.

No tours on Chinese national public holidays, including New Year, 7 days before and after Chinese New Year's Day, Easter Holidays, Labor Day Holidays from May 1 to May 7, National Day Holidays from Oct 1 to Oct 7.
