Detailed itinerary

1

Sri Narayana Guru, a distinguished social reformer, established this temple as a sanctuary for worship accessible to all, with particular emphasis on the Billava community, who encountered societal limitations. The temple exemplifies a harmonious fusion of traditional Dravidian architectural elements, distinguished by its unique characteristics. The imposing "gopurams" are elaborately carved and resplendently hued, illustrating divine figures and mythological narratives.

2

Visit a stunning church that is a replica of Rome's Sistine Chapel. Antonio Moscheni, a Jesuit artist, created the frescoes here. The Chapel is a fitting example of the region's multireligious community.

3

Lord Manjunatha, a manifestation of Lord Shiva, is worshipped in the Kadri Manjunatheswarar Temple. One of the earliest Shiva temples in the area, it was constructed in the tenth century and features Vijayanagara architecture. The idol is seated in an unusual yoga pose. The elevated position of the temple complex, where numerous water ponds and a natural spring known as Gomukha can be seen, is one of its distinctive features. In addition to being a house of worship, the temple serves as a center of culture where many holidays and customs are enthusiastically observed.

4

This area's traditional crafts are being preserved and promoted by this Artisan's village. Generation after generation has been using these age-old methods. Using age-old techniques, we will see live demonstrations of a variety of crafts, such as oil extraction, handloom weaving, blacksmithing, and ceramics.
Note- This is closed on Mondays.

5

The city of Mangalore is named after the goddess Mangaladevi, who is the temple's presiding deity. During different festivals, the upper level of the temple's exquisitely built two-story gopura is used as a drum-beating hall. The temple was constructed using laterite and features a stunning conical roof composed of terracotta tiles that are held up from the inside by a wooden framework.

6

The beach provides sweeping views of the Arabian Sea's coastline. Dense palm trees, towering, lush casuarinas, and stretches of coconut trees encircle the picturesque beach. Historical ties to the region include the abandoned fort of Abbakka Devi, a former queen who opposed Portuguese colonization. After the excitement of the day, Ullal Beach is a wonderful place to unwind
