Detailed itinerary

Pelican Bank is a beautiful little sand island situated between Hervey Bay and Fraser Island. This remote island stop is known for its white silica sands and crystal-clear waters. It's the perfect place to enjoy a picnic, have a swim, or enjoy some bird watching—maybe even a spot of fishing as well!

2

Located just off Hervey Bay, this historical gem allows you to explore spots like Jeffrey's Beach and the Middle Bluff Lighthouse (which was one of two identical lighthouses built in 1866 to enable ships to enter the Hervey Bay area at night).

Make sure you have the camera ready after your short hike up the hill because the Middle Bluff Lighthouse also provides incredible views of the Great Sandy Strait across to K'gari [Fraser Island].
