Detailed itinerary

1

Your adventure begins in beautiful Virpazar, where Lake Skadar's natural beauty meets a charming fishing village! Settled in Montenegro's wine region, this village offers the perfect mix of natural wonders and local culture.

Surrounded by breathtaking mountains and pristine waters, you'll discover amazing wine tastings, stunning sunsets, and delicious local cuisine. Take time to explore Montenegro's countryside charm before we set off!

Find us at Kingfisher's information desk where our friendly team makes check-in effortless. We'll handle your vouchers, provide tickets, and ensure everything runs smoothly. Then it's time to sail into your incredible Lake Skadar experience!

2

Join us inside our traditional wooden boat docked at the small Virpazar river pier. Prepare for beautiful views as you glide out of the channel, surrounded by the lake's rich vegetation.

Admire the stunning mountain ranges of Albania - The Accursed Albanian Mountains and Vranjina, the nearest island, as they tower over one of Southern Europe's largest lakes. It's a magical journey where nature's beauty takes centre stage, and this is just the beginning!

3

Navigate left, pass under the Tanki Rt bridge, and be embraced by the enchanting meadows of water chestnuts spread all over the top of Lake Skadar. The serene ambience will soon reveal the stunning Lesendro, an 18th-century fortress gracing the lake's shores.

Known as Bishops' Sorrow, this fortress carries a profound historical legacy, dating back to the reign of Petar II Petrović-Njegoš, a prominent figure in Montenegro's past. Strategically positioned, it once served as a safeguard against potential enemy threats.

Today, Lesendro and its surroundings draw birdwatching enthusiasts to its diverse ecosystem. Cormorants, herons, and gulls are just a glimpse of the vibrant birdlife awaiting discovery.

4

Discover the enchanting amazonian nature of Montenegro as you continue your tour to three wild islands. As we glide along, you’ll notice the water covered in a stunning mix of white and yellow lilies. Their dark green leaves add to the magic, creating a tapestry of colours you’ll remember long after the tour. Don’t forget your camera - this is a view you’ll want to share!

5

Take your opportunity to dive into Lake Skadar’s gorgeous deep-blue waters together! You’ll be swimming surrounded by the most incredible mountain views and that authentic Montenegrin countryside charm that just takes your breath away.

And here’s the best part - on our way back, we’ll sit back with a glass of delicious local wine while you soak in those stunning views. Take a moment to just breathe in all that peaceful lake magic before we head back to Virpazar.

Trust me, it’s exactly the kind of experience that stays with you long after you leave!
