The proposed route is "ring" and it is therefore possible to start it (and of course terminate it) from any point.
After just two kilometers from Follina, you can already admire the majestic Castle of Castel Brando in Cison di Valmarino, then continuing towards Vittorio Veneto and following the road that will lead us to Conegliano where we will stop for a coffee break at the foot of its Castle.
We leave to go to see the castle of San Salvatore in Susegana, beautiful and still inhabited surrounded by magnificent vineyards.
There will also be a pleasant stop at the Tenute Caldella, of the Vanzella family, for a food and wine tasting.
Once again we have only a few kilometers to go before we find ourselves in front of the Castle of Collalto and then we return to Follina where we can visit the splendid cloister of the Abbey.

Detailed itinerary

1

The castle of Conegliano is the medieval center of the Veneto region. Located on the top of the Colle di Giano, in a strategic place, the castle dominates the whole city and the surrounding territory.

2

The castle of San Salvatore is an ancient fortified complex.
It is currently divided into the crenellated walls, the Odoardo palace block and the large tower together with the Santa Croce church, elements connected to the ruins of other buildings

3

The keep of the Collalto castle is one of the few defensive structures that have remained intact in the mediaeval castle together with the two access gates to the south-east and to a terro of the second search wall that was transformed into a bell tower in the 1800s. The tower is the protagnist of the story of Bianca di Collalto where the poor maid of the court collatina was walled alive for the Jealousy of the Countess Aicha da Camino

4

Castelbrando (in the Middle Ages called Castello della Costa, Castrum Costae) is a castle located in the Italian municipality of Cison di Valmarino (TV). It rises on the slopes of Monte Castello, from which it dominates the villages of Valmareno and Cison. It owes its present name to the ancient Forlì family of the Brandolini, who had the lordship for centuries.
