In the afternoon, head to Qiaoxi History Cultural Street first which was once home to the poorest of Hangzhou people, who made a living by trading andworking on the nearby boats, forming the most preserved canal-side ancient block since the Qing Dynasty.Featuring white walls, black tiles, narrow and deep lanes and bridges spanning the Grand Canal, Qiaoxi History Cultural Street is the only place in Hangzhou's old downtown that best reflects the historical landscape of the HangzhouSection of the Grand Canal.

Then head to Jinghang Grand Canal Hangzhou which is definitely one of the best place to have a glimpse of the world famous waterway. It is oft-lauded as the earliest and longest artificial waterway in the world starting from Beijing in the north and ending at Hangzhou in the south for a total length of 1776 km.
