Visit Lucy, the first human. 3.5 million years old.

Perhaps the world's most famous early human ancestor, the 3.2-million-year-old ape "Lucy" was the first Australopithecus afarensis skeleton ever found, though her remains are only about 40 percent complete.

Founded in 1944, the National Museum of Ethiopia is home to fossilized remains of early hominids, archaeological artefacts of the earliest of Ethiopia, regalia and memorabilia from ancient rulers, like Emperor Haile Selassie and artwork ranging from traditional to contemporary.

Saint George Cathedral is one of the oldest religious sites in Addis Ababa. This historical church is famous for its octagonal architecture.

Inside Saint George Cathedral, admire mosaics depicting biblical scenes like the visit of the Queen of Sheba to King Solomon.
