Arrive at St. Catherine City around 12:30 AM and begin ascending via the Camel Path (about 2 hours), or ride a camel (About 20 Euros). Then climb 750 steps to Mount Sinai’s summit to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the desert mountains.
After sunrise, descend for 2–3 hours by steps and camel path or full 1,750 steps to St. Catherine Monastery. Explore this historic site for about an hour, including an 11th-century mosque, an Orthodox Greek monastery, the Church of the Transfiguration with Saint Catherine’s relics, and the Holy Valley, where Moses is said to have heard God’s voice.
