This tour visits many of the natural "foodie" delights of The Coastal Bay of Plenty, including the superfoods, kiwifruit & avocados. During the day you also see & walk in a variety of natural environments & scenic areas in the region as well as tasting product & hearing about how those products are produced. This is a small group tour that avoids the anonymity of larger tours.
Our accredited agent will meet you at the Port of Tauranga. We will travel North through scenic countryside.

We travel from BeeNZ to Omokoroa.
But First Dessert, visited on Saturday & Sunday, was the winner of the Plates of Plenty Judges' Choice Award. Its owner loves being able to celebrate her chef's creativity using local products & to have the opportunity to give clients something they wouldn't usually make themselves.

A Fish and chip lunch will be enjoyed at the small seaside village of Omokoroa. From Thursday Sunday, the lunch will be at the Omokoroa Boat Club. Monday -Wednesday the lunch will be at Alma Eatery.
On leaving Omokoroa, we will continue back towards Tauranga to a kiwifruit orchard.
We will stop at a kiwifruit orchard where the kiwifruit industry will be explained, from planting through to the beautiful edible fruit & export. You will be given a taste of the fruit.
we will then drive up to the Minden Lookout
From this vantage point you are treated to a panoramic view of the entire Coastal Bay of Plenty. On a clear day, you can see White island, an active volcano.
You will then be returned to the Port of Tauranga. En route, we will drive along what we consider to be the best beach in the southern Hemisphere
When the clients exit the ship there is a fenced-off, secure walk-way to the left, which leads to the port gate (5 minutes walk at most).
Please note that there is no need for Tenders to access the Port of Tauranga.
