Detailed itinerary

1

This Marian pilgrimage center evokes the apparitions of Our Lady to the three shepherd children Lúcia, Francisco and Jacinta, which occurred in 1917 and recognized in 1930. The place was a rural property, called Cova da Iria, and belonged to Lúcia's parents, who donated it to the sanctuary. It was here that five of the six apparitions took place.
The Sanctuary includes the Chapel of Apparitions, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, the Prayer Room and the Basilica of the Holy Trinity. Complementing the Sanctuary are the Retreat Houses of Our Lady of Sorrows and Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Paul VI Pastoral Center.

Being a place of religious worship, visitors can visit freely and at their own pace.

2

Fátima is a city in central Portugal that is home to the Sanctuary of Fátima, a Catholic pilgrimage site. The Chapel of Apparitions marks the place where the Virgin Mary allegedly appeared in 1917.

3

Lighthouse installed in the São Miguel Fort since 1903. It serves to aid navigation. And it currently has a light range of 15 miles, complemented by an audible warning signal on days of intense fog.
It is also the best point to observe the giant waves caused by the "Nazaré canyon" and Praia do Norte.

It will be at this place that we will stop for lunch.

The medieval village of Óbidos is one of the most picturesque and well preserved of Portugal, has become more prosperous from the moment it was chosen by the royal family. Since the king D. Dinis offered it to his wife D. Isabel, in the century. XIII, belonged to the House of the Queens who, throughout the various dynasties, benefited and enriched it. It is one of the main reasons for finding so many churches in this small town.
Within walls, we find a well-preserved castle and a labyrinth of streets and white houses that enchant those who walk there. The Mother Church of Santa Maria, the Church of Mercy, the Church of San Pedro, the Pelourinho and, outside of walls, the Aqueduct and the Sanctuary of the Lord Jesus of the Stone, of round plant, are some of the monuments that justify an attentive visit .
