The cliffs of Cabo Girao are some of the highest in Europe, with a near vertical drop of over 500 meters down to the raging seas of the Atlantic Ocean at the base of the cliffs. Boca da Corrida Viewpoint in Jardim da Serra in the high part of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, is located approximately 1000m above sea level.
In this viewpoint we have a stunning view over the valley of Curral das Freiras, Eira do Serrado, the central massif and is the starting point for the walking route of Caminho Real da Encumeada.
