Please note with the duration: It takes 2.5 hours to get to the national reserve and 2.5 hours to come back. In the reserve, we spend 3 hours; that is why, in total, the activity lasts 8 hours.
Itinerary: You will be picked up from your accommodation in Arequipa. From this beautiful city, we depart for the national reserves of Salinas and Aguada Blanca. During the journey, we will pass by the closest volcano to the city, Misti Volcano, which has a beautiful cone shape. After 1.5 hours, we will start seeing the national reserve, and the landscape will change. Some of the typical animals we will see are vicunas, alpacas, and llamas. Once we arrive at the heart of the reserve, we will make several stops next to lakes, where we will probably see lots of birds, including pariwanas. In the reserve, we will visit a small volcano and some nice viewpoints as well. After 3 hours in the reserve, we will head back to Arequipa, which will take 2.5 hours.
