About this experience

Leave behind the craziness of the city and connect with unspoiled nature. We will take you to the green trail through a beautiful forest with thick, rich vegetation, where we will hike and enjoy amazing panoramic view points.
After approx. 2 hours hike in the forest we will get to an asphalted road which will lead us to a Agios Nikolaos Fountoukli church, dated back to 14th-15th century and the running spring water, where will have a short break to rest and have a glimpse of history in the old walls of the church.
Our return way will take us to the famous, abandoned, "Ghost Village" of Campochiaro (today: Eleousa) which after Italian occupation had finished has been turned into a Sanatorium specialised in respiratory problems treatments where we`ll see and explore the abandoned buildings of former market, prison and a church.
Another highlight of the tour will be nearby fish pond, where the extremely rare fresh water Gizani fish are kept.
