Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

This is a great introduction to the history, culture and people of Ethiopia. It houses different collections like antiquities, crafts, contemporary paintings, archaeological findings from different parts of the nation and exhibit it to the public. This is also where the famous and oldest (3.2M Years old) known human skeleton (fossil) - LUCY - is displayed

Please Note: This museum is closed on Mondays, but it will not affect the overall experience as we can improvise and show you another museum like Ethnological Museum, Addis Ababa museum, based on your choice.

2
Stop 2

The highest point around Addis Ababa has the perfect look-out place of Addis. Drive up to the Mountain covered by the eucalyptus, Junipers, 'hygienica Abysinica' and many more other types of trees. It is a peaceful and enjoyable landscape over-looking Addis Ababa. It is quite a drive but worth going.

3

"Merkato indigino" - Market for local poeple, is famously known to be the largest open-air market in Africa. The market is full of action and movement where you will like the only person not working. We will take deep into the typical spots where the realistic lifestyle of the people is visible. You will also visit the Spices zone, the amazing recycling area, the incense market and many other places you would want to visit particularly. It is surely the place you want to be.

4
Stop 4

In between the tour, we will take you for a coffee tasting session where you will visit one of the oldest Coffee Shops in Addis: prior to the coffee, we are open for taking to nice places for lunch.

5

This octagonal shaped Cathedral is situated at the heart of Addis Ababa and was built to honour St. George for his priceless support during the first Ethio-italian wat ' Battle of Adwa'. The interior is beautifully painted. This is the coronation place of King Hailesillasie I. There is small museum with ancient collection of books, crosses and other church treasures. It gives clear idea of the Ethiopian orthodox Christianity faith.
