About this experience

From the Ottoman Empire, passing through the city of Tito in the former Yugoslavia to the modern times. Licensed tour guides will take care of you during your walk around Podgorica and its surroundings to make your experience cultural and enjoyable. You walk around the Capital City visiting the most famous attractions and listening to the history of Montenegro. You will visit the top 5 locations in Podgorica: Saborni Hram Hristovog Vaskrsenja, Trg Republike, Ribnica Bridge (Most na Ribnici), Clock Tower, Millennium Bridge. Each walk can be personalized and customized according to your needs. The tour is combined with a car to visit the Niagara Waterfalls and Cijevna River Canyon, located about 30 minutes from the city center. The tour takes approximately 3 hours and it finishes at the meeting point or at your preferred destination in Podgorica. The visit can be done in several languages. The Hram is the biggest sacred monument in Podgorica, located next to the Necropoli of the 1st millenium.
Started to be built in 1993, it took 20 years to complete the monument.
Built in Roman style with christian-orthodox architecture.

Independence Square is the main square of Podgorica and it was the place for many important protests during the 90's. In the center of the square there is a big Fountain that today is a famous meeting point for locals.

The name of the bridge derives from the medival city "Ribnica" built in the 13 century. The remains visible today belong most probbaly to the 15 century.

Located in the old part of Podgorica, it was built in the 17 century during the Ottoman Empire as a defence tower. It is the symbol of Podgoirca city in the old centuries.

It is the main bridge of Podgorica built in the 21 century with the official opening on 13 july 2005. It is long 140 m designed by the most important architect in the modern times. The bridge represents the symbol od modern Podgorica.
