Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Explore Río Celeste on a guided hike along the official trails of Tenorio Volcano National Park, surrounded by rainforest and volcanic landscapes.

During the tour you will visit the Celeste River Falls, a stunning 30-meter drop with its unmistakable turquoise color, the mystical Blue Lagoon, the volcanic boils where the earth releases natural gases and finally the Tincture, the exact spot where the phenomenon that stains the river blue occurs.

A moderately difficult hike, well organized and explained step by step by a local guide, ideal for travelers seeking authentic nature, unique photographs and understand one of the most famous natural phenomena in Costa Rica. An essential experience that combines science, jungle and unforgettable landscapes.

2

After exploring the park, we enjoyed a typical Costa Rican lunch in a family restaurant, prepared at the moment with fresh ingredients from the area.

3
Stop 3

Then, we take a short walk to a private property, off limits to the park, where you can swim in the crystal clear waters of Rio Celeste.

This stretch of the river allows you to immerse yourself in its intense turquoise color, something that is not allowed inside the national park. The water is clean, fresh and safe for swimming, ideal for relaxing and connecting with nature.

An exclusive experience that combines walking, local cuisine and an unforgettable swim in one of Costa Rica’s most famous rivers. Ideal for those looking for more than just seeing Rio Celeste.
