Detailed itinerary

1

Conquered to the moors in 1148, Óbidos medieval castle is considered one of the most picturesque places in Portugal. In here, we will have the chance to visit the city, where you will find several colorful houses and beautiful yards.

2

One of the most emblematic places of the Peninsula of Peniche

3

Cabo Carvoeiro is a cape that represents the most western point of the Peninsula of Peniche, on the Atlantic Ocean. It has a great heritage value and gives us a magnificent overview of Berlengas Island. From the cape, we will start a magnificent tour through different viewpoints of the city.

4

"The rock that breath"

5

Typical Portuguese fish and seafood market, with a side restaurant where you can taste the freshest products that the Atlantic coast has to offer.

6

In addition to an important defensive square, the fortress has had several uses throughout history, being the best-known political prison. Nowadays, it hosts the Municipal Museum of Resistance to the Dictatorship of the Estado Novo.

7

Sea Avenue, the most touristic avenue of Peniche with amazing restaurants.

8

Visit Baleal, the surfers paradise!

9

Known as “The Garden of Peace”, Buddha Eden has a collection of over 200 sculptures dispersed for approximately 100 acres of land. The exposition encourages respect for all of the religions in the world, although it has started mostly with Buddhism. In the garden, you may also find pieces of art from many artists, including Alexander Calder, Fernando Botero, and Joana Vasconcelos. This is a place of natural beauty, perfect for a walk with family or, in this case, with Your Portuguese Best Friend.
