Spend a dream day in Italy on a top-class cycling trip through one of Liguria's most beautiful valleys. This is an area renowned for its authenticity, gastronomy, olive groves and vineyards, and also for its marvellous waterfalls & crystal-clear rivers nestling in the heart of the mountains.

Start from Ventimiglia, accessible by train, for this extraordinary day out: soak up the flavours of Italy & pedal softly along a seaside bike path, then join a riverside to follow the course of the Nervia valley to its most famous, wonderful and spectacular village:

Dolceacqua, its medieval bridge and castle & its labyrinth of narrow streets under arches (local produces: wines, olive oils). The village, which seduced the painter Monet, is particularly picturesque.
