Pokhara to Dumre: Drive eastward from Pokhara on the Prithvi Highway (also known as Tribhuvan Highway) towards Kathmandu. Continue on this road until you reach Dumre, which is approximately 69 kilometers (43 miles) away from Pokhara.

Dumre to Thankot: From Dumre, you'll continue on the Prithvi Highway towards Kathmandu. The highway eventually descends towards Thankot, which is around 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) away from Kathmandu.
