About this experience

This is one of the best local experiences while doing a few hours of hiking combined with meeting small local Arabica coffee farmers from the beautiful Sarangkot Pandeli village near Pokhara. This experience covers most stages of organic coffee farming and processing methods from farm to the cup. You will also have a chance to learn about the community-focused non-profit organization which is helping local organic Arabica coffee farmers by providing training and sharing updated knowledge required in coffee farming and its challenges to operate sustainably while paying 30% more money for farmer’s coffee cherries compared to other collectors in the region. This tour also highlights how women are empowered through community based tourism project by creating job locally.

During this experience you will have a chance to taste the locally grown arabica coffee and organic lunch prepared by women group who are part of community tourism project.

We will meet all our guests at this place and start our guided tour. It will take us 1 hour 30 minutes through the shore of Phewa Lake to reach Khapaudi Village from where we will do the uphill hike.

Stop 2

One of the beautiful lake of Nepal where we will hike side by side during the tour. From Khapaudi village it's time to do an uphill hike for another 2 hours and 30 minutes and experience the village life and interact with the local people on the way. some part of the hike will be from community forests to reach up to beautiful Pandeli village.

Very scenic place and one of the best spot for the full view of Phewa lake from 1200 M altitude. This is also the oldest trek route to the Annapurna region. After some time rest at this place, we will visit pandeli village, the Arabica coffee farm owned by a small coffee farmer, Learn more about the coffee plantation, and coffee processing techniques from harvesting to roasting at one of the, not for profit community-based organization processing centre. We will also do the organic coffee tasting and also see the beekeeping station ( if you are interested). Which will take upto 2 hours and drive back to Pokhara.
