About this experience

The tour begins at 07:00 from our office in Kutaisi. Our first stop is the beautiful Jvari Monastery, where you'll enjoy breathtaking views of Mtskheta and the rivers Aragvi and Mtkvari. Next, we drive down to the charming town of Mtskheta to visit the stunning Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a true gem of Georgian architecture. We then continue to the fascinating Uplistsikhe, an ancient city of handmade caves built in the first millennium BC. After exploring the caves, we take a relaxing lunch break at a cozy local restaurant. Post-lunch, we head to Gori to visit the intriguing Joseph Stalin House-Museum. Following this, we honor the memory of brave Georgian war heroes at the memorial in Gori. Our final stop is the historic Gori Fortress, where you'll enjoy panoramic views of the area. With hearts full of beautiful memories, we then drive back to Kutaisi, concluding our wonderful tour.

Stop 1

Firstly, we visit Jvari Monastery, where travelers can enjoy breathtaking views of Mtskheta, along with the picturesque confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. This historic site offers a serene and scenic introduction to the region.

After the tour at Jvari Monastery, we drive down to Mtskheta, known as the religious center of Georgia. In Mtskheta, we visit the magnificent Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its stunning architecture and historical significance.

The next stop is Uplistsikhe, the ancient city of caves. Built in the first millennium BC, this fascinating complex features a network of handmade caves, showcasing the architectural prowess of its creators.

Stop 4

After the tour in Uplistsikhe we will have a lunch break. Afterwards, we drive to Gori to visit the Joseph Stalin House-Museum. This unique museum offers a comprehensive look into the life and legacy of the Soviet leader, featuring his birth house, personal artifacts, and historical exhibits that provide insight into his impact on world history.

After the tour of the Stalin Museum, we continue to the Memorial of Georgian War Heroes in Gori, which honors the bravery and sacrifices of those who fought for Georgia's freedom and independence.
