After being picked up from your place in comfortable and private transportation, we'll head to the enchanting southwest side of Medellín. Our route will take us through the most picturesque regions in Antioquia for approximately 1 hour.
We'll witness a mesmerizing transformation in the landscape. The bustling cityscape will gradually give way to charming farms nestled amidst the grandeur of the Andes mountains, this transition is truly breathtaking, immersing us in a world that feels entirely different.
Our first stop takes us to a charming, traditional Colombian roadside spot, where you'll enjoy a delicious "arepa de chocolo" paired with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. It’s the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs, soak in the local ambiance, getting ready for the exciting adventure ahead.
As part of our journey, we’ll make a brief stop in the quaint town of Tapartó, a hidden gem that captures the essence of rural Colombia. Nestled amidst rolling hills and lush greenery, plantain and coffee plantations, this small town is known for its warm hospitality and picturesque surroundings.
During our short visit, you’ll have a few moments to stretch your legs, take in the peaceful atmosphere around the town’s charming streets and scenic backdrop. It’s the perfect way to experience a slice of authentic Colombian life before continuing toward the main highlight of the day!
This experience begins with a scenic drive along rural roads, following a peaceful river and passing through quaint local farms. Along the way, you’ll enjoy views of colorful trees, coffee plantations, and glimpses of farm animals like horses, cows, and chickens.
After arriving at the farm, a 20-25 minute hike takes us through lush greenery to Tapartó Falls, a breathtaking series of five waterfalls cascading one after the other. Surrounded by vibrant nature, we'll hike down towards the river, navigating a rocky trail that brings us to the base of the falls.
Here, the real adventure begins: cross hanging bridges, climb a thrilling Ferrata trail beside the waterfalls, and fly through the air on a zipline above the waterfalls. Afterward, unwind with a refreshing swim or simply relax by the river, absorbing its natural beauty.
We’ll conclude our day with a traditional Colombian lunch back at the farm, accompanied by stunning mountain views—a perfect end to an incredible journey.
