About this experience

Whale watching guided tour in Hermanus is famously known for its magnificent coastline that offers spectacular views of ocean giant creatures, the likes of dolphins, seals and whales. It is also one of the 12 recognized whale watching sites by world wildlife fund. During the whale season, between June and December the tour offers a unique experience with boat and onshore wale watching. Relax with a stop at Spier Wine Farm for some wine and chocolate pairing with spectacular views and 5* restaurants serving delicious cape cuisines.

Detailed itinerary

Pick-up will be from your hotel in Cape Town at 06:00 am, the driver will be waiting in the lobby for you to begin your Full day whale-watching tour.

Upon arrival at Hermanus, you will be required to sign a consent form then there will be a briefing from an experienced qualified skipper and a bit of educational lesson regarding the whales. You will then board on a shared marine safari of 2-3 hours. As soon as the whales are sported, the skipper will stop the boat for everyone to see these amazing sea lions up close, take pictures and continue to spot more whales.
After the boat trip, guests will return to the harbor and proceed to our next destination.

Breathtakingly beautiful wine estate serving award-winning and iconic art of creation wines from a variety of chardonnay & Pint noir. Here we will stop on our way back from whale watching for some fast light lunch (at your own account) and wine tasting.

The price for wine tasting varies from R10-R50. Also kindly advise 24 hours in advance for lunch reservations.

Stop 3

On our way back from Hermanus, we will stop at the majestic Spier wine farm for wine tasting and chocolate pairing. Here you will get the opportunity to taste Spier signature award-winning wines like Cap Clasique, 21 Cables, Seaward and many more. There is also KIDS tasting where they will have the opportunity for Grape Juice tasting including 2 different grape juices and an educational activity sheet.

After Spier Winelands visit, we will then head back to Cape Town for your Hotel drop off.
