Baku Layover Tour encompasses the major sightseeing points of Baku. Your local English speaking tour guide will present you the history, facts and legends of the ancient city, while walking and driving through the attractions you’ll visit. Stop 1

Our first stop will be Icharishahar, the Old Town of Baku city.

Stop 2

First museum we will enter is the Shirvanshahs’ Palace, the central part of ancient Shiranshahs kingdom. You will get to know the history of the palace and visit the mausoleums that witnessed many troubles for the past two centuries.

Stop 3

Second place we will visit is the most remarkable and mysterious monument – the Maiden Tower, built in the south-east part of the Old Town. Once you immerse yourself into the experience of discovering such extraordinary building, you will know why it is considered as the symbol of Baku.

Stop 4

We'll also pay a visit to Ateshgah temple, which was once inhabited by Indian travelers and merchants. During your visit to the Fire Temple, you will learn a lot about the temple from your guide, particularly, more about unique natural phenomenon as burning natural gas outlets.

Stop 5

In the second part of visit, after visiting the temple you will directly go to the Yanar Dag ("Burning Mountain"), which is not far from Surakhani temple. It is the most famous and popular tourist site of the “eternal flame” in Azerbaijan. Yanar Dag, the burning mountain, will reveal the earthly wonders of the land of fire.

We will have a tea break in the Old Town after our visit to the Burning Mountain. Ever wondered how Azerbaijanis drink tea? :)

Dinner time in Nizami street will energize you more to continue our tour inside the city center.

We'll walk to boulevard to enjoy the sea view.

Short ride on a funicular, will be a nice break for you to see the whole city from the hilly parts of Baku.

Right by the Martyrs' Lane, you will see the Flame Towers, famous for their unique architectural design.

Martyrs' Alley is an exhibition of Azerbaijanis' courage against Soviet occupation. Get a glimpse of the end of totalitarian Soviet regime during our visit of Martyrs' Alley.
