Originally a monastery, it was transformed into a colorful romantic palace in the 19th century by King Fernando II. The palace is a fantastic blend of vivid colors, ornate stone sculptures and decorative terraces, placed against the lush vegetation of the surrounding forest. With its panoramic views of Sintra and the Atlantic Ocean, the Pena Palace incorporates a fairy-tale aura that captivates visitors. Note: Tickets are not included.
