This full-day tour of two Fortified cities of Romania, Sibiu and Sighisoara from Brasov will let you discover the beauty of Transylvania with its old and full of historic buildings, Sighisoara is one of the best-preserved towns in Europe.
The first stop is Sighisoara, the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, Dracula. Here we will feel medieval because Sighisoara is one of the best-preserved cities in Europe and the only city in Romania which looks exactly the same way as in the 16th century and it is also the last still inhabited medieval citadel not only in Transylvania but in whole Europe.
After the visit to Sighisoara, we hit the road to Sibiu, where we will have a walking tour, we’ll discover the facts and the legends behind the fortification of Sibiu, the historical churches or the romantic squares. The tour will be also a good opportunity to find out more about the historical, geographical, economical or cultural aspects of Sibiu, Transylvania and Romania, in general.

The first stop is Sighisoara, the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, Dracula. Here we will feel medieval because Sighisoara is one of the best-preserved cities in Europe and the only city in Romania which looks exactly the same way as in the 16th century and it is also the last still inhabited medieval citadel not only in Transylvania but in whole Europe.

Sighisoara is the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, Dracula. Founded by Transylvanian Saxons during the 12th century. Here we will enjoy a walking Sighisoara tour of its medieval centre and see its 14th-century Clock Tower, Church on the Hill and the Citadel, we will feel the atmosphere of a medieval city in the modern time.

In Sibiu we will have a walking tour, we’ll discover the facts and the legends behind the fortification of Sibiu, the historical churches or the romantic squares. The tour will be also a good opportunity to find out more about the historical, geographical, economical or cultural aspects of Sibiu, in particular, or Transylvania and Romania, in general. Highlights of the tour will be the Little Square and the Big Square, the Thick Tower, the Harquebuses Tower, the Potters Tower, the Carpenters Tower, the Council Tower, we will visit the Brukenthal Museum. From the Liar’s Bridge, you will have awesome pictures for sure. From the Council Tower, we will have a magnificent view of Sibiu from 70 meters high.

After the Sibiu visit, we will go to the Ethnographic Museum where you’ll discover the Romanian villages. This is an open museum that gathered households from across the country in a relaxing place.
