Starting more than 900 years ago the history of Brasov is very close to the knights, the Saxons and the invaders. We will enter and discover the Black Church which dominates the main square and is Brasov's most important monument. The Black Church is the biggest Gothic religious construction from the Eastern Europe. You will understand after the visit from where the name of the church is coming.

The First Romanian School Museum is housed on the grounds of St. Nicholas Church, this was for centuries one of the leading learning centers of the Romanian people. The printing press that opened here in 1556 produced some of the first books written in Romanian language. The museum hosts a compelling legacy: more than 4,000 rare books (many printed or copied by hand right here), several hundred rare documents, the oldest Bible (printed on goat's skin) and much more.
