The day is starting with our trip to Sinaia, through the Prahova Valley. We leave behind us some beautiful mountain resorts, Predeal and Azuga and we reach Sinaia, also known as “The pearl of the Carpathians”. Here we will visit the magnificent Peles Castle, a 19th-century architectural masterpiece, which was the royal residence of King Carol I of Romania and known as one of the most beautiful summer royal residences in Europe.
After Sinaia, we will visit the sprawling Cantacuzino Castle which was completed in 1911. The castle was designed as a hunting lodge for the Prime Minister of Romania from the beginning of the 20th century. Surrounded by forest hills, and stunning landscapes for sure you will feel like a noble in the castle and the castle garden.
In the end, we hit the road to Azuga town where we will have a wine tasting session at the Rhein Cellar, which is considered the oldest location in the country, and produces sparkling wine using the traditional method of making champagne. This method was transmitted from generation to generation and it is very important that in the 21st century there are maintained the same manufacturing techniques as there were used 100 years ago.
