The Monastery built around the 17th century, the archaeological church resembles the monasteries of Akhmim, which were built on the Bakhumi system – the communion system – in the form of the three structures, and the dome with corner corners in front of the main temple.

The church is located inside a high wall on a high hill where there is only the archaeological church and buildings for some Coptic families. The church is modeled after the churches of Akhmim from the 16th and 17th centuries. The monastery was called iron in relation to .. After its reconstruction, the monastery contained a rare collection of saints’ bodies inside the old church
