Porto Montenegro is a marina in the city of Tivat in Montenegro, on the shores of the Bay of Kotor. It is a complex project of the luxury category with a very developed infrastructure: there are no analogs of such a yacht complex in the entire Adriatic, and there are only a few similar projects in Europe.
The Maritime Heritage Museum is located in Tivat, within the yacht marina Porto Montenegro. With over 2 million objects ranging from artifacts, maps, and maritime memorabilia, to exhibits covering famous battles, shipbuilding, and even Napoleon, the sections within the National Maritime Museum are as vast as Britain's naval history itself.
This is one of the main squares in Tivat, symbolically called "Culture Square". It is easy to identify the main square of the city, it has a monumental anchor, which is a monument erected in honor of the centenary of the local shipyard.
A little away from the glamorous center of Tivat, there is a very cozy fishing harbor - Kalimanija. You should look for the harbor just south of the city promenade, just walk along the shore towards the airport and the promenade will lead you to the right place.
In the center of the park stand the ruins of a once magnificent palace, formerly belonging to the noble Bizanti family. Even today, you can still see the summer house, part of the watchtower, and the family chapel in the ruins. If you walk along the park towards the sea, you can see the Tivatian islands and a piece of Tivat itself from the shore.
The house originally belonged to the Bizanti family, who had a large residence nearby, but in 1760 the building was bought by Captain Antoine Verona of Prcanja.
After the guided tour, relish in 3 hours of free time. Your guide will drop you off at a convenient location, allowing you to savor lunch and indulge in some retail therapy.
After a day filled with delights, our comfortable private vehicle will whisk you back to your ship, brimming with cherished memories. Trust our decade-long expertise in organizing shore excursions and exploring the shores with utmost comfort and peace of mind. Booking a tour during your cruise can be daunting, but not with us!
