The Palomino and Cavinzas islands are part of the National Reserve of the System of Guaneras Islands, Islets and Points. was established by Supreme Decree No. 024-2009-MINAM of December 31, 2009, is made up of 22 islands and islets and 11 guano points located from the coasts in front of Piura to Moquegua. It has an area of ​​140,833.47 hectares and is administered by the National Service of Natural Areas Protected by the State (SERNANP).

It was originally the square of the pre-Hispanic town of Lima, where in 1535 the conqueror of Peru, Don Francisco Pizarro, founded a new capital city for our country which he called "City of the Kings". La Catedral resume la historia de la ciudad de Lima, no solo en el ámbito eclesiástico, sino también político y artístico. La antigua Catedral sufrió varias transformaciones a lo largo del tiempo, debido a los sismos de gran magnitud que se vivieron en la ciudad de Lima y a mejoras estéticas. Los estilos que convergen en ella a través de las obras de arte sacro que alberga son renacentista, manierista, barroco, rococó y neoclásico. Bajo sus bóvedas, se encuentran enterrados los restos de figuras emblemáticas y cofradías.

Huaca Pucllana is a pre-Inca ceremonial center, built by the Lima Culture around 200–700 AD.

It was used as a religious, administrative, and ceremonial site — possibly dedicated to water worship and social rituals.

The site features a massive adobe pyramid, made from thousands of hand-shaped adobe bricks set in a “bookshelf” vertical style.

Later cultures, like the Wari, used the site for elite burials, which were discovered in modern excavations.
