We will start our adventure by picking up each traveler from their hotel or Airbnb located in the selected districts. Then, we will board our private tourist transport to the archaeological complex of Pachacamac, in a tour of approximately 1 hour from the city of Lima.
Upon arrival, we will start the visit at the Museo de Sitio, where you will know the most important vestiges of the sanctuary. The museum houses more than 290 archaeological pieces, including ceramics, textiles and the iconic Idol of Pachacámac, an ancient wooden sculpture that was venerated in pre-Inca cultures.
After touring the Site Museum, we will continue our experience visiting the impressive archaeological area of Pachacámac. Accompanied by our expert guide, we will explore its main structures, such as the Painted Temple, the Acllahuasi (House of the Chosen) and the imposing Temple of the Sun, built on a hill with panoramic views of the Lurin River valley and the Pacific Ocean. As we ascend towards the top, you will discover not only the vestiges of this ancient ceremonial city, but also the profound spiritual and political symbolism it harboured for centuries. A landscape full of history, mysticism and connection with the Andean worldview.
After our visit in Pachacámac, we will return in our private transport to Miraflores and then continue with the second part of the tour: the Huaca Pucllana. The journey from Pachacamac to this archaeological site in the heart of Miraflores will take about 1 hour.
Continuing with the tour, we will take a guided tour of Huaca Pucllana, an imposing adobe pyramid located in the heart of Miraflores and considered one of the most important symbols of Lima culture. During the tour, you will learn details about the rituals, customs and social organization of the ancient inhabitants of this pre-Inca civilization, as well as observe closely the archaeological excavations that are still carried out.
At the end of the visit, you will have the option of lunch (not included) in the prestigious restaurant Huaca Pucllana, located within the same archaeological complex. We recommend you enjoy this experience, where you can savor emblematic dishes of Peruvian cuisine while taking in a spectacular view of the pyramid.
