Secondly, we will visit the Surquillo Market. This market has become a kind of mecca for international foodies after the praise of famous Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio. The market is open every day and the vast amount of food and spices sold here include exotic fruits from the Amazon rainforest, potatoes and chilies from the tops of the distant Andes mountains, fresh fish and seafood from the coast and meats of different types, including alpaca and the famous guinea pig.
