PRIVATE TOUR - Explore the central massif of Serra de Água de Pau on 4WD tour. See Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lake), the 2nd largest lake on the island and consider to be one of the 10 most beautiful wild beaches in the World. With tracks that are lined by native flora the entire area was classified by the European Commission as a Special Area of Conservation and part of the Natura 2000 network. Step in to another dimension with the walking trail of Janela do Inferno (Hell´s Window) made through tunnels, Jurassic vegetation and majestic scenery waiting to be seen. Stop at Caldeira Velha to regain energy with a dip in natural thermal pools surrounded by the most lushly endemic vegetation. Lunch will be at Ribeira Grande town. After lunch a small walk around the town followed by a visit to the local liquor factory for a taste of our local liquors. Don’t forget to bring walking boots, swimming suits and towels.
