About this experience
PRIVATE TOUR - This tour is for people that want to experience some of the oldest and almost lost local traditions like learning how do the delicious "Queijo Fresco" while discovering some of the stories about the past of São Miguel island and enjoying a good piece of local bread with a slice of the cheese that you made. After this cooking lesson you can also have the possibility to know the happy cows that produced the milk for your cooking lesson. Lunch (optional) will be at Nordeste the most flowery village of the island but before that we still have time to stop at one of the most magnificent natural parks you will ever see while in the Azores, full with lush vegetation and flashy waterfalls - Ribeira dos Caldeirões. On a sunny day the ridge of Tronqueira's mountain (900m high and also one of the stages of (SATA Rally Azores) filled with typical Macaronesian endemic flora and rare and valuable fauna like the Azorean Bullfinch (Priolo) is a must do with a 4WD.
