Learn about the ancient city of Aptera. Our first stop after an interesting drive up will be the “Ancient site of Aptera”. Explore the Roman cisterns, the monastery, the picturesque church, and the absolutely beautiful ancient theatre that still remains. At the archaeological site of Aptera, you will be able to admire findings of all periods of inhabitation of this City-State. The walls of the ancient city, which are 3.480 meters long, date back to its acme period of the 4th century BC.
