Mountain Bike is a convenient and ecological alternative to explore with easily the south Gran Canaria: Maspalomas ,Playa Ingles, Ayaguaures ,Arguineguin.
Rent a Mountain Bike 4 hours until 7 days.
Mountain Bikes are not suitable to go off-roads or on sand.
It is possible to use the Mountain Bikes on asphalt road, Promenade, Bicycle paths.

Detailed itinerary

Rent a Mountain Bike and take advantage of it to take a bike trip to visit the mountain town of Ayagaures.
You will cross a wonderful green valley adorned with palm trees, plants, cacti and typical Canarian flowers in an incredible itinerary surrounded by nature. On this tour you will meet ancient animal farms and, in particular, you will see the goat farm up close, an animal icon of the island.
Once you reach the top of Ayagaures mountain, you will have the opportunity to stop in a Tapas Bar (Bar la Cuevita) built inside an old Aboriginal cave dating back to the pre-Hispanic era where you can taste the typical Canarian products (Food and drinks are not included in the rental price)
After a break you can continue towards the Ayagaures dam, a large water tank with an exceptional panoramic view.
The return is all downhill and even more exciting.
The tour is 30 km in total: 15 km uphill to get to the dam and 15 km downhill. If you choose to visit Ayagaures with a Mountain Bike, you absolutely need to be physically well trained.

Rent a Mountin Bike and visit the small fishing town of Arguineguin.
Ride along the Atlantic Ocean, passing through Meloneras beach and Pasito Blanco harbor.
Stop to admire one of the few banana plantations in the south of the island.
On the way there is a stop to admire an archaeological site consisting of the ancient Aboriginal houses of the Guanches, the primitive pre-Hispanic population.
Finally you will arrive in the old fishing village of El Pajar / Arguineguin . Stop to visit the village and its beautiful volcanic beach.
Also visit a very special small church because it was built in a cave and known as "Cueva de Santa Águeda".
Then we recommend you: tasting of Tapas based on fresh fish in a typical Canarian Chioso (Bar El Boya: Closed Thursday) built 5 meters from the sea. Food and drinks are not included in the rental price. The route is 30 km in total with steep climbs and descents. Excellent physical fitness is required to reach Arguineguin by Mountain bike

Located in the most exclusive area of Meloneras.
This ancient lighthouse is open to the public every day from 10.30 a.m. to 17.00.
Inside the lighthouse you will visit the ethnographic museum to learn more about local customs and traditions.

Visit the huge beautiful sand mountains of Maspalomas: they are 7 kilometers of protected natural space.

This green park is open to the public from Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 18.00. Visiting the botanical park you will find the most incredible species of endemic plants and native palms of the Canary island

Visit this ancient archaeological site you will see with your own eyes the ancient indigenous houses that date back to the pre-hispanic era

La Charca : it is a small lagoon not connected to the sea where about 40 types of migratory birds and different species of animals like the giant lizard of Gran Canaria and different fishes.

Visit this amazing volcanoes beach covered by winds and with its dark sand. meloneras beach is an ideal place to relax in the sun or go for a swim in the clear waters of the Atlantic ocean.
