About this experience

Lets surf, explore and escape the crowds for the best day trip with all the locals insiders knowledge to get into some great waves on this incredible coastline.

From Hossegor to Mundaka this coastline is one of the most famous places in the world for surfing. There's an amazing variety of beach breaks, points and reefs so there really is a surf trip to suit everyone and all levels.
Depending on the conditions we'll head up into France or west in Spain. The countryside is incredible and we'll take our time with one long session or two shorter ones at different breaks. Topping it off with our traditional Basque picnic which will definitely hit those hunger pains.

Bring your own gear or we can provide you with all the equipment you need.

Detailed itinerary

We'll park at the top of this beautiful beach with spectacular views with a long rolling right hander.

Off to the chicest of French Basque towns where surf mixes with fashion and the beach is on the doorstep. There are two consistent waves in the area and after surfing we'll have a chance to amble through the streets and get a feel for the locals way of life.

There is a wide variety of waves in this area, we'll pick the best option from these fun beach breaks then find a good picnic spot and soak up the sights.

This is one of our favourite Basque villages, it has a really relaxed vibe with one of the best wave set ups in the area, lots of reefs and points to choose from. We'll surf and then settle back to take it all in from the best vantage point.

This classic Basque town has a strong surf vibe with a really long beach and mellow waves. We'll find our spot in the sea away from the crowd before pottering the streets or having a picnic overlooking the coast.

There are many waves in this area, we'll go surf the place most suited to you. Then we'll head to the bustling working port of Getaria for a stroll behind the scenes.

Stop 7

This is one of the most famous left handers in the world, a long, shallow, fast, barrelling wave with a typical local village out front. It's also one of the most beautiful areas in the Basque Country set on a spectacular estuary bursting with wildlife with views to die for. We'll surf then go to our favourite look out for our perfect picnic.
