A visit to the Oceanário de Lisboa is a unique experience that will take you to know and feel the unforgettable magic of the underwater world. Embark on this contemplative journey to discover 8000 sea creatures, from 500 different species.
The permanent exhibition (Aquarium) celebrates life on Earth with a central 5-million-liter saltwater aquarium surrounded by four marine habitats representing habitats of the North Atlantic, Antarctic*, Temperate Pacific, and Tropical Indian Ocean, creating the illusion that we are looking at one aquarium and one ocean. The visit takes place on two levels, terrestrial and underwater, crossing the temperate, tropical, and cold waters of the different oceans of the planet.
Discover also the «Forests Underwater», a work by master Takashi Amano, who presents us with tropical forests through the largest nature aquarium in the world and the new «Submerged Universe» exhibition, an immersive journey into the immensity of the ocean.
