Desaru Coast is home to over 100 species of birds. A myriad of winged gems can be found here including White-bellied Sea Eagles, Bhraminy Kites, Black-shouldered Kites, Crested Serpent Eagles, Changeable Hawk-Eagle, Collared Kingfisher, White-throated Kingfishers, Common Kingfishers, Blue-throated Bee-eaters, Blue-tailed Bee-eaters, Blue-winged Pittas, Crimson Sunbirds, Ruby-cheeked Sunbirds, Brown-throated Sunbirds, Red Junglefowl, Purple Heron, Grey Heron, Yellow Bittern, Oriental Pied Hornbills. and many more.
