The famous Anthony Quinn beach is located 20 km south of Rhodes Town between the beaches of Faliraki and Ladiko. The original name of the beach is Vagies. However, because of the fact that the famous film The Guns of Navarone was filmed in that place, the locals decided to name this beach after the lead actor of the movie, Anthony Quinn.
