About this experience

If there is a tour that we can consider as a true "sightseeing tour", this is the one. You'll have the opportunity to know Arrábida Natural Park, one of the most beautiful spots near Lisbon. Founded in 1976 and covering 108 square kilometers, it is one of the 30 areas officially under protection mainly due to being host of many rare species. We will visit the small village of Azeitão, with some wine tasting on the way, Sesimbra,Palmela and many other places that you will be delighted with. If the weather helps maybe some time on the beach on this crystal clear blue waters.

Detailed itinerary

Stop 1

he Sanctuary of Our Lady of Cape Espichel, also known as Nossa Senhora da Pedra Mua, is one of the most impressive sites in this region for its location and its remarkable natural architectural complex. Its worship dates back to 1410, when the venerated image of Our Lady of the Cape was discovered at the tip of Cape Espichel by two old men from Caparica and Alcabideche, who were given signs from Heaven in coinciding dreams. Until the start of the 18th century, the grounds around the primitive temple were encased by houses for the pilgrims who travelled there in pilgrimage to venerate the image.

Sesimbra is one of the finest beach resorts in Portugal.
The town is adored by the Portuguese who flock to the region for their holidays, drawn by the pristine coastline, social atmosphere and freshly cooked seafood.
Aside from the beautiful beaches and delicious food, there is a lot to do within the Sesimbra region. There are hiking/cycling trails through the Serra da Arrabida, surfing on the Costa da Caparica, kayak or boat tours along the dramatic coastline and some of the best diving in Portugal.
As for day trips, there is the Cabo Espichel headland, the busy port of Setubal or the paradise beaches of the Tróia Peninsula. These varied tourist attractions and activities also make Sesimbra an enjoyable day trip from Lisbon, which is only 45 minutes away by bus.
