Stop 1

After pickup from the centrally located hotel in Kuala Lumpur, travel by air-conditioned minivan to the first stop on your half-day tour: Merdeka Square. Also called Independence Square, this symbol of Malaysian independence is one of the most picturesque squares in the world. Admire both traditional and modern architectural masterpieces before moving on to the King’s Palace.

Known as Istana Negara, this residence of the King of Malaysia doesn't allow visitor access inside the building, but you can take photos of the exterior along with the changing of the guards, which occurs hourly.

The Petronas Twin Towers are an ideal place for photo ops; if you choose to purchase a ticket to the Observation Deck and Skybridge, gaze at the city skyline and capture unforgettable moments on camera.

Visit one of Southeast Asia’s oldest and largest Chinese temples

Pass by the tranquil Lake Gardens and the exquisite façade of the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station with its fairytale-like towers and mix of Eastern and Western architectural styles.

National Monument (Tugu Negara), a bronze tribute to the lives that were lost in the fight for Malaysian independence, designed by American architect Felix de Weldon. At the end of the tour you’ll be taken back to the starting point.

Batu Caves is a renowned limestone hill in Malaysia that houses a series of caves and cave temples. Located approximately 13 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur, it is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India and is dedicated to Lord Murugan, the Hindu god of war. The main attraction is the towering golden statue of Lord Murugan, standing at 42.7 meters (140 feet) tall, one of the largest of its kind in the world.

Contrast your visit to these glass and steel marvels with the National Mosque (Masjid Negara), located in the heart of the city amid lush green gardens. Built in 1965, it is one of the most elegant buildings in KL and features a spectacular main dome covered in green and blue tiles, along with 48 smaller domes spread across the Mecca-inspired courtyard.
