After pickup from the centrally located hotel in Kuala Lumpur, travel by air-conditioned minivan to the first stop on your half-day tour: Merdeka Square. Also called Independence Square, this symbol of Malaysian independence is one of the most picturesque squares in the world. Admire both traditional and modern architectural masterpieces before moving on to the King’s Palace.
Known as Istana Negara, this residence of the King of Malaysia doesn't allow visitor access inside the building, but you can take photos of the exterior along with the changing of the guards, which occurs hourly.

The main attraction is the towering golden statue of Lord Murugan, standing at 42.7 meters (140 feet) tall, one of the largest of its kind in the world.
