The limestone forming Batu Caves is said to be around 400 million years old, and you can see the largest statue of an Indian God named Murugan right in front of the cave. Since 1892, the Thaipusam festival in the Tamil month of Thai (which falls in late January/early February) has been celebrated there, and this season is a very sacred and grand day for Malaysian Indian.

So you will not surprise that around the Batu Cave area is full of our Indian friends nearby.

4.30am - Roti canai & Teh Tarik high tea
Roti Canai(Indian pancake) and Teh Tarik(Indian milk tea) is theirs, and it is also a special food in Malaysia. Hot freshly made roti canai is absolutely perfect with a cup of smooth teh tarik.

6pm - Dinner @Golek Golek restaurant
If the food is good, people will come even to a restaurant in the forest. This is what can be compared to this restaurant. With a location that is quite far from the main road, even many lost customers can become famous and are always visited. The story of the owner of this restaurant can be used as an inspiration for all of us. Starting small, always keep improving the quality of food and service, now it is successful.

Here you can experience the original taste of Malay culture, they cook with loves and efforts, and promised to serve the best on the table.
