About this experience

Best Luoyang one day tour is designed to be completed in 8-9 hours. You will visit Shaolin Temple in the morning. The Temple will be followed by Longmen Grottoes. Then drive back to down city. If time permits, you could visit either White Horse Temple or Luoyang Museum. The 3rd place to visit will be open for you according to your interest. Please talk with your guide and decide where to go.

Stop 1

Your tour guide will greet you at your downtown Luoyang hotel lobby (or Luoyang Train Station) and take you directly to visit Shaolin Temple, a holy place for Buddhism and the origin place of Chinese Shaolin Kongfu. You will have chance to see a short Kongfu show performed by martial monks there.

Stop 2

Next you will drive to visit Longmen Grottoes which is one of the top 4 Buddhist grottoes in China. That treasure house of ancient stone-carving houses over 100000 stone statues with largest ones taller than 17 meters and smallest ones shorter than 2 centimeters.
After the tour,you will escorted back to your hotel.
