About this experience

Mt. Huashan is a rich treasure for travelers who have strong interest in it. There are 4 different routes for travelers to explore Huashan Mountain with different ascending way and descending way (North Peak up and North Peak down, North Peak up and West Peak down, West Peak up and North Peak down, West Peak up and West Peak down). In this tour, you are allowed to choose the routes you prefer most according to your interest and condition. We cover all transfer, tour guide and entry fees and you just need to tell our guide by which route you want to explore this beautiful mountain and prepare some food as lunch (no restaurant on the mountain top).

Detailed itinerary

Your tour guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel in Xian at around 8am and arrive at Mount Huashan after a two-hour drive. There are 4 routes regarding to Mt. Huashan trip for you to choose.

The first one is shuttle bus & cable car from north peak (the lowest peak). And eventually back to North peak to take cable car & shuttle bus down from the mountain. This route is popular for those who loves hiking as it has the longest hiking way. It requires traveler strong physically strong if you would like to finish all peaks.  

The 2nd route is going up from west peak and down from north peak which covers both north peak and west peak but needs hiking up more and hiking down less than the 2nd route. 

The 3rd route is cable car up to west peak (the highest peak and most beautiful natural scenery) and descend from north peak. This is not recommended for older people since descending north peak needs more downward hiking which will hurt knees.

The 4th route is the round way to west peak cable car. It has the best natural view of the mountain and the minimum walking, suitable for those who in weaker physical condition, like elders and children.

During the process of climbing or at the top of the mountain, you will get access to some attractions, like Buddhist and Taoist temples, Gold Lock Pass and other famous spots. You can decide yourself how many peaks to hike on based on your willingness and physical condition. The guide is helpful to tell you what attractions and peaks you will pass by according to your route.

In the late afternoon, you will be transferred back to hotel safely.

1) There is no restaurant on the mountain top and you are suggested to prepare some food as lunch in advance.

• Not recommended for pregnant women
• It is the high peak season for Huashan from June to October especially during the public holidays. Please expect during that time it is very crowded and needs long time queue under big sun at Mt. Huashan, you are suggested to avoid these times to visit here or please contact the local supplier to ask advice.
