As the founder of 'CapeTownOutside' I provide both day and multi-day private, guided trips to show you the intriguing pre-historic rock art of the San people - the first inhabitants of Southern Africa. These cave paintings are prolific in the Cederberg mountain conservancy about 3 hours from Cape Town. The Cederberg is also part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site for it exceptional plant biodiversity. The multi-day trips can be customised to suit your preferences. On the day trip we will walk an easy wilderness trail to view a series of remarkable rock art sites - many thousands of years old. This is one of the best open-air art galleries of late stone-age San rock art accessible from Cape Town. You will see the art in situ and learn about it and the people who painted it. This is a uniquely Southern African experience. It is an art, archaeology, cultural history, and African wilderness experience rolled into one. For inquiries search 'CapeTownOutside'.
