About this experience

A Unique tour of the Burren National Park including Visits to Unique Cottage industries which are inspired by this area of the West Coast, before finally enjoying panoramic views at the foot of the Atlantic Ocean as you immerse yourself in warm seaweed baths.

Our wonderful schedule includes a first stop at one of Ireland's most photographed Castles, Dunguire, before visits to a Sheep herding Demonstration and a local Perfumery along with tours by the in-house experts at each site before before ending your day with a Panoramic View of the Atlantic Coast whilst relaxing with a unique and restorative seaweed treatment as you immerse yourself in warm sea water and enjoy the views.

This tour can be tailored, and visits to A local Boutique Chocolateir or Heritage Weaver are also available by request.

Constructed in 1520 in a stunning location and surrounded on three sides by the waters of Galway, Dunguaire is one of Ireland’s most photographed Castles,. Among other fascinating stories, your guide will explain the Castles fascinating history of Sieges, Waring Clans, and its important role in Ireland’s more contemporary literary revival, when it became a hub for literary greats, including George Bernard Shaw and W.B. Yeats.

Centre of County Clare, this region puts the 'wild' in The Wild-Atlantic-Way and your knowledgeable Guide will explain all the History behind its impressive 'lunar' landscape which was formed millions of years ago when the area was underneath the sea. We stop at some of the most beautiful spots to admire views, a plethora of wildflowers which cover the area, and the flights of the seagulls. Further out, you will sea the Aran Islands from which Aran wool originates, as well as the famous handmade Aran-Wool Sweaters produced in many of their little wind swept cottages

SHEEPDOG DEMONSTRATION AND FARM VISIT
Hidden away in the Burren valley, Caherconnell has been in the same family for over 5 generations. During our visit you will see an authentic farm experience intimately connected to the Burren, and enjoy the working sheepdogs demonstrating their skill in a place of calm amongst the Burren landscape. There is also a 5000 year old fort to discover as well as a café with an array of local delicacies.

THE BURREN PERFUMERY VISIT
visit Burren Perfumery. The Burren is home to over 70% or Ireland's more than 1000 species of wild flower, which are the origin and inspiration of this specialist boutique perfumery and cosmetics maker which is family run and includes a tea room, herb garden and blending room. Everything is handmade on site with organic local produce and during your visit you will be able to see and learn all the secrets of perfumery making for yourself with one of the in-house experts during a 30 minute tour. A workshop and longer in depth tour is also available on request.

SEA WEED BATHS
On arrival you will be warmly welcomed and led to your positions with a front row seat to the sounds and smells of the Ocean as you sit back and relax in your own Irish whiskey barrel filled to the brim with hot ocean water and locally hand harvested seaweed. There is also a cold water plunge barrel for those who want a more invigorating effect.

HAZEL MOUNTAIN CHOCOLATE FACTORY OPTION
On request we can visit Ireland's only Bean-to-Bar chocolate maker in place of one of the other stops. With simple sustainably sourced ingredients, Cocoa beans are roasted and ground at the site to produce their award wining chocolate made in small batches. Learn all about the chocolate making process during your visit with the in-house experts and visit the organic café and chocolate shop.
