There are now more than 20 monks in the monastery, where they live and worship regularly. The monastery library may be the oldest Christian libraries in existence today. This library contains more than 6 thousand manuscripts in different languages, including about six thousand manuscripts from the ancient world, and some of them are older than the monastery itself.
